The Experience

Not content with one gorgeous house high on the hill, Jackie and Ian have put up another and it’s every bit as lovely. The only difference is size – this is a magical bolthole for two, perfect for honeymoons or just a blissful time away. Inside, walls of glass open onto a decked terrace, where you can soak in a hot tub while screened from the world by pine trees. Inside, there’s a contemporary wood-burner in the sitting room, a kitchen with ample cooking stuff, a lovely big bed that looks out to sea, then a bathroom that’s hard to beat with a double-ended bath, a walk-in power shower and an infrared sauna. You’ll find all you’d want – fancy TV and DVD player, bath robes to pad about in, a bottle of prosecco on arrival – even the lawn is special, sown with 32 species of wild flower, the same turf as Olympic Park. If you don’t want to cook, a chef can do it for you – lazy breakfasts, afternoon tea, seafood barbecues. Further afield, the wonders of Knoydart: wild orchids, sea eagles, mountains to climb. You can kayak, cruise the sea loch or do nothing at all. Stars fill the night sky, the Northern Lights come in winter.

Reviews

Our trip to Knoydart was an epic experience from start to finish and was made all the more incredible by being able to stay in the heart of the village at Knoydart Hide. We felt so lucky to have such a luxurious place to stay in such remote and beautiful surroundings. Jackie and Ian added to this by being warm, friendly hosts where nothing was too much trouble. We can't recommend it enough and would give more stars if we could!

We had the most fantastic honeymoon at Knoydart Hide! The property was wonderful and Ian and Jackie were so lovely and helpful - it was everything we had hoped for and more!

Emily

We had such a lovely time at the Knoydart Hide. Ian met us off the ferry and was super friendly and helpful. The hide itself is perfect in every way... I wish we could have stayed for a month! Hope to visit again in the future.

Michelle

went to celebrate my 80th birthday. it exceeded my expectations by a long way. very relaxing and everybody was friendly. knoydart hide was better than the photographs on the website. Jackie and Ian did us proud. two places to visit for food are the 'snack shack' and the Kilchoan farm shop. we will return in the near future.

My husband and I had the most fabulous time at Knoydart Hide for a mini moon after our wedding in Dornie, Scotland! We couldn’t have been more impressed! Everything we needed for a secluded, luxury get away after a busy Wedding week! Everything start to finish was just perfect! The worst part was trying to choose which part I enjoyed most! Reading in the hammock, relaxing in the hot tub or soaking in the luxurious bath! My husband and I will absolutely come back and love everything about Knoydart hide, the village and people! Ian and Jackie thought about everything! Thank you so much!

Thank you so much to Jackie and Ian for an unforgettable and unique experience. The hide was the perfect getaway from our busy home lives helping us to completely relax with so many added luxuries that most wouldn’t think of. You have both been great hosts. The hide was perfect, even to the finer details and being in such a beautiful setting really helped us to relax. This would not have been completely possible without the attention to detail and hosting from yourself and Ian. We highly recommend the seafood platters and the 4x4 tour. Cannot wait to return!

Andrea

Had a fantastic stay at the Hide. Jackie and Ian couldn't have been more helpful in helping us plan our special occasion. They went beyond what would have been expected. The accommodation and location were outstanding. Look forward to returning to this tranquil place.

Fabulous position, with stunning views of the loch. Great fun arriving on the small friendly ferry boat, the views are breathtaking. .Jackie and Ian were great hosts and have thought of everything to make your stay memorable and comfortable. The Jacuzzi and sauna were superb and helped to make a relaxing stay. Jackie has arranged a local company to do meals if required, and these were excellent. Peace and quiet, in a superb setting, luxury accommodation and great hosts, we will definitely be back. Many thanks, Wendy and Graham.

We stayed at Knoydart Hide to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we cannot recommend it highly enough - it was perfect. A fabulous hideaway for two; an inspirational building and the hot tub with its view across Loch Nevis is fantastic. Complete peace and 'get away from it all' in luxury. We stayed 3 nights and felt as if we had been away for 3 weeks. Cannot wait to return!
