Absolutely stunning property in the most beautiful and tranquil location. The house and its surroundings are immaculately presented, and have everything you could possibly need. Picture perfect towns and villages close by, and the nearby night markets are not to be missed! Should you wish, there are plenty of local activities, canoeing and the local Treetop adventure were particular favourites. Lindsey and Tim are impeccable hosts, and went above and beyond to ensure our family had a wonderful, fun and memorable stay. Thank you for an amazing visit, we look forward to returning!

We have stayed in this amazing place for 2 weeks in the summer 2023 and absolutely felt in love with it. The location is breathtaking, we arrived during sunflowers fields being in bloom! The house has everything we needed, complementary croissants on our 1st morning were a nice surprise. The owners have left clear instructions on how navigate to the house and in the house itself, also there were many good recommendations for restaurants, brasseries, supermarkets, local activities!. We enjoyed night market in the next village so much! You cannot wish for more if you visit this place!

Amazing property, fantastic scenery amongst the sunflower fields. We were made welcome from the start and Tim and Lindsay were always there to answer questions on info around the surrounding areas. Would not hesitate to return again. We came as strangers and left as friends.

House in the field has become a not to be missed annual fixture for us. If you are looking for a superb location to unwind and relax then you have just found it. Lindsay and Tim offer a warm welcome to their lovely home and are always on hand to ensure you get the very best from your holiday. For those wanting to explore the area it is packed with possibilities, not least the wonderful Bastide towns and all they encompass. We are already booked for next year!

'House in the Field' is a perfect tranquil holiday experience, with the friendliest hosts you could ever wish to meet. We had a fabulous fortnight at this wonderful property, visiting the many picturesque towns and villages of the region. Enjoyed long summer walks, fabulous electric bike rides and canoeing, which are all readily available in the area. The Bastide towns, with their markets and artisan craftsmen, were an additional highlight. Lindsay & Tim go the extra mile to make your stay perfect. A perfect fortnight, and look forward to returning again in the near future.

This is the second year in a row I've stayed at The House in the Field. The lure of our own pool, quiet rural setting and mix of differing activities within striking distance was again too good to pass up. Travelling down overnight by car with my two sons 17 & 15yrs for a week in the May Half term. I can thoroughly recommend hiring electric bicycles to see the countryside and a canoe hire down the Dordogne. In summer Hols there are evening markets; great fun to eat local food and meet people. Tim and Lindsay are perfect hosts and present a beautiful well appointed holiday let. Tres bien!

The gorgeous images & sumptuous description sound like a tasty slice of Southern France stone house, pool paradise right? Well, buckle up because the reality is even better! The achingly beautiful French Cotswolds views, the deafening peace & quiet, the best night stars imaginable, the perfectly/luxuriously/tastefully equipped accommodation. Parfait! Then the gorgeous, generous, kind hosts Lindsay & Tim go the extra mile, making you a part of their life, the local night markets, their journey. Remarkable. Worth every penny. We will be back – if only to decide who's crazy croquet champion!

This place really is as idyllic as the photos suggest. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and fabulously equipped. Tim and Lindsay were brilluant hosts giving us hints and tips on how to get the most from the local area. We shed a few tears upon leaving them and House in a Field but will return for another stay soon.

The House in the Field was exactly what we were looking for. It is as idyllic as it looks in the photos, it is fabulously well-equipped (I defy anyone to discover something that they would expect to find at home that is not there) and the hosts Lindsay and Tim are everything that you could wish them to be. They are there when you want them to be without being intrusive, ready with advice on how to get the best out of your time with them and always friendly and welcoming.

This is the most amazing property to stay in .The kitchen has everything needed ,the pool is ideal for games and for swimming . The views are exceptional . Its peaceful and quiet .We loved the two dogs Finn & Dave, even at a distance. Tim and Lindsey go out of their way to help you for anything ,even providing themselves as a taxi service. This was our fourth visit to House in the Field and it was every bit as good as the first. It has become our home away from home. Lindsay and Tim always provide a warm welcome, as do their dogs Finn and Dave. The property is immaculately kept with a keen eye for detail ... you will find nothing wanting, and it is always a wrench to leave. Thank you for another memorable holiday ... we will return!

House in the Field is perfect! It is like a home from home with absolutely everything you could ever need and everything is immaculate, beautiful, and so obviously designed and put together with love. The location is stunning and so, so peaceful but an easy drive to lots of gorgeous towns and villages and so little traffic! It is the perfect place to relax, soak up the sunshine, dip in the wonderful pool and watch the glorious sun sets. Lindsay and Tim are simply the best hosts you could wish for. We arrived as guests but left as friends and can’t wait to go back. Exceptional!! xx

The house setting is superb, very peaceful with lovely views and a feeling of total tranquility. The property is immaculately and thoughtfully presented and very well equipped. Lindsay and Tim were exceptional hosts and have clearly put a lot of love and hard work into the whole enterprise. They went out of their way to make ours and our 3 young children’s stay super relaxed, happy and memorable. The pool was a great temperature and pristine, with a stunning patio- a real highlight. Thanks again.We would definitely go back!

We have just returned from a blissful two weeks at the House-in-a-Field.Frankly I’m not sure how I agreed to leave! This was a peaceful, rural gem. 20-30 mins to several beautiful medieval towns and chateaus. The day and night markets were lively and abundant. Canoeing down the Dordogne river (Roque-Gageac 1 hr away,stunning drive)was brilliant. My husband and teenage son loved teleski/wakeboarding on wires(1 hr away)I opted for paddle boarding .The sunsets from the pool are magnificent and watching lightening storms from the oak porch was cosy and romantic.This house is stunning!

The photos really do not do House in The Field justice. It is a beautifully restored, furnished and equipped to the highest standard. We have stayed in a lot of different high standard holiday rentals and this one is up there with the best. Lindsay and Tim really all such wonderful hosts and have thought of absolutely everything you will need, even down to the birthday candles for celebrations. The best bit about this house is the beautiful pool surrounded by lovely marble outdoor living area, shaded wood verandah, comfy sofas, massive oak table and BBQ. Lovely! We would love to return soon

House in the Field provided the perfect situation for us to relax together as a family. The beautifully restored house, with idyllic verandah looking onto the glorious pool, was the perfect antidote to stressful lives in the big city. Our hosts, Lindsay and Tim were charming - discreet but always ready to help when needed and utterly charming. And we loved the company of their dogs, Finn and Dave, who kept a respectful distance at all times. We are hoping they will remember us next year (we have booked to return for 2 weeks in 2020) when they might come a little closer!

Our stay was everything and more than hoped for. Lindsay and Tim are the most welcoming of hosts and the house was amazing, spotless, well provisioned, and comfortable. The crowning glory is the outside space with far reaching views. A very generous hamper welcomed us on arrival, and Lindsay and Tim were on hand to offer assistance and recommendations. This is by far the best accommodation we have stayed at in France. Fearing everyone who stays will want to return, we have already booked for next year! My Husband and I and our baby have just got back from a week’s stay at House in the field. We had an amazing time! The house is absolutely perfect, beautifully decorated and situated in gorgeous countryside. The veranda and pool area are the most perfect places to relax. There are also some gorgeous towns and villages nearby if you fancy exploring. Can’t wait to go back!

Lounge on the veranda sofas and watch others exert themselves in the delightful pool; sit in the shade of a venerable oak; wander through the surrounding wildflower meadow and oak woodland. Do you get the picture yet: total tranquillity and not another person , or house, in sight. Yet all the attractions of the south west are nearby - ancient towns and villages, castles, all a touch more authentic than the treasures of the Dordogne valley, and certainly less frantic. A place to relax and let the hours drift by.

What a fabulous place! The location is so tranquil; truly a place to completely unwind. A morning swim in the pool followed by a leisurely breakfast on the deck was the perfect way to start the day. The house is very tastefully decorated and the bed was super-comfy. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could need, just like home, which isn’t always the case in a holiday rental. Thank you Lindsay and Tim, you couldn’t have made us more welcome. We definitely plan to return! Caroline & Glyn
